El Departamento de Arquitectura y Estudios Urbanos del Politécnico de Milán, en colaboración con el Consorcio Poliedra organiza el Master in Design for Development. Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Patrimonio en el Sur Global, dirigido por el Prof. Camillo Magni.
Los impactos de la globalización en las ciudades y regiones están creando enormes desequilibrios socioespaciales, emergencias medioambientales y complejos problemas de gestión urbana, especialmente en las regiones del Sur Global y en los países con economías emergentes. Actuar en estos lugares exige desarrollar expresamente competencias profesionales innovadoras para poder afrontar los retos de un desarrollo urbano integrador y sostenible.
El Máster en Diseño para el Desarrollo ha sido concebido para dar respuesta a estas demandas con la firme convicción de que las disciplinas del diseño pueden desempeñar un papel protagonista en estos nuevos procesos de urbanización. De hecho, cada vez es mayor la demanda de expertos en diseño capaces de desenvolverse en los desafiantes contextos del Sur Global aportando competencias y conocimientos centrados en la gobernabilidad y la calidad del desarrollo urbano y regional.

This exchange program will allow students from both houses of study to have an adequate training to respond to the demand for professionals in the world of work with a preparation framed in a broader and international spectrum.
The objective of this agreement is to promote an exchange program that provides adequate training to respond to the demand for professionals in the world of work with a preparation framed in a broader and international spectrum.
The courses have a semester duration. In general, they have a final exam and elective assignments that allow to increase the final grade of the course. However, there are some courses that have mandatory projects and others that also have an intermediate test. It is normal to take 30 credits each semester.

This project takes up the idea of the body shop, the carrozzeria, a representative example of “made in Italy” craftsmanship, dedicated to repairing, improving and modifying cars in dialogue with the customer, at the beginning of the 20th century.
Each project responds to a specific challenge and investigates different aspects of the environment, the city, society, the community and the individual. To explore the different proposals, QR codes have been placed on the side to reveal additional content and refer to a digital exhibition on Instagram.
